Here is an article taken from The Guardian (a British newspaper) about tatoos. It is supposed to be for upper-intermediate level so it should be a challenge to most of you. Before you read the article, complete exercise one. After reading, complete exercise two.
At this point you should have already noticed that some of the words in the text are highlighted in bold. These are pronouns which are used instead of nouns or noun phrases. So, in the first one, for example, "So when did this start?", 'this' refers to Mark's tatoos. Your third task is to decide what these pronouns refer to.
Have fun with it!

Hello everybody. I have created this blog so that you can extend your learning outside of the classroom. Think of it as 'interactive homework'.. Over the following months, I will be posting videos, articles, quizzes and short exercises that you can complete online. You can also leave comments and feedback after you've finished watching/reading/doing whatever with the post. Much love.. Josh X
